I believe personal mission statements are very important. They help to remind us of the person we hope to be and the life we want to live. Here is the personal mission statement I came up with several years ago and have tried hard to live up to.

If I was told that morning so many years ago that I would learn something that day that would follow me through my career as a Marine and into every other job I had I would have never believed it. But I did and I am forever grateful for what I learned that day.
