Ideas and Thoughts
Our thoughts influence the decisions we make, actions we take, and behaviors we display.
Where our thoughts regularly take us is a good indicator for whether we are living on our past or for our future.
The decision we must often make is whether we want to spend the majority of our time looking back or moving forward.
We can focus on our past or on our future. One has the potential to hold us back and the other to keep us moving forward.
In order to keep moving forward and make progress sometimes the best thing to do is let go of past mistakes.
Sometimes the best thing to do is stop struggling to get back to where we were and start working towards getting to where we want to go.
Positive movement in the right direction has a way of building energy, momentum, and excitement.
Being active and productive usually gives us more energy and makes us feel good about ourselves.
Having control of something or someone is just an illusion. We rarely have or need as much of it as we think we do.
A lot of the stresses we feel start with the thoughts we think and are not usually rooted in truth or reality.
It’s good to think before we act. We must be careful not to get lost in our thoughts and keep from acting in a timely fashion though.
Thinking logically can reduce mistakes. Too much logic though can keep us from being creative and stop us from taking necessary risks.
Some of our greatest ideas come when we least expect them and we don’t always act on them.
Many of our ideas have the potential to help us create the lives we want. We just have to act on them.
When your gut tells you something you should listen. It is seldom wrong.
To become the person we dream of being we have to be willing to take risks and act on what we think are great ideas when they come to us.
Many of our best ideas are lost because when they first come to us we don’t take the time to capture them and they are eventually forgotten.
When you think of an idea that you feel is worth pursuing take the time to write it down so you have it to reflect on later.
Reflecting on our past and possible future helps us to leverage our experiences as we prepare for what is ahead of us.
The more thought we put into the details of what we will do to accomplish our goals the better the chances are that we will be successful.
Our success or failure of a task is often determined before we have begun to complete it. By our own thoughts and beliefs.
Being able to accomplish a worthy task or not is usually determined by whether we believe we can or not.
That little voice in our head that tells us we can or can’t do something is only right when we choose to believe what it is telling us.
If you can imagine accomplishing something and believe in yourself then you can.
At times we need to try and look past what we are working on and do our best to imagine the possible results and impact of our efforts to better appreciate what we are currently doing.
Instead of getting lost in the fact we are struggling we need to focus our attention on coming up with ways to overcome our struggles.
We must remember that we will not always be happy with or feel good about the best answers to the problems we are faced with.
Often when faced with a problem we either already know what needs to be done or we are capable of coming up with a solution. We just need to take the time to think it through and may also need to talk it through with someone else.
Fear can be our enemy or our friend.
Fear is our enemy when it keeps us from following our dreams or doing the things we want to in life.
Fear becomes our friend when it motivates us to appropriately prepare so we can overcome the challenges we are faced with in life.
As doubt, fear, or negative thoughts enter our mind we must remove and replace them with confidence, faith, and positive thoughts.
If we fill our minds to overflowing with positive thoughts then no negative ones can enter or take root.
Giving too much time and thought to worrying about what others think will keep us from being ourselves and living the lives we are meant to.
The information we take in from books, internet, music, movies, TV, etc can have an impact on how we think and act.
Just like our relationships with others and the people we spend most of our time with has an influence on the person we are.
It is important to take in information that will make us better and surround ourselves with people that push us to be our best.
The mind is just as strong as the body and at times its even stronger.
Our thoughts can help us to do some pretty impressive things.
With an open mind we allow ourselves to be pleasantly surprised.
The results of our efforts are often decided before we begin. They are determined by what we tell ourselves will most likely happen.
We are capable of talking ourselves into doing or not doing almost anything if we really want to.
Our thoughts can very easily become reality. That being the case we should try to fill our minds with the things we want to happen.
In most situations we get what we expect so we should expect only the best.
Most endings are just the signals for a new beginning.
In order to live life to it’s fullest we have to live as if our best years are still ahead of us.
